I am a beginner with Oracle and I am in the following situation:
I have a problem on a client, where the server was pro space, and the last scheduled backup became corrupted, would have how I copy the DBF from the server, move to another machine and try to export and "re-import" again as soon as the server returns from the maintenance?
Is this possible?
Environment information:
* Oracle version: 10g
* Operating system: Win 2000 Server
How to import a DBF file?

No colleague, this is not possible!
DBF is Oracle Datafile, and you can not recover a base only with a DBF file, Oracle is much more complex than this.
has to be backed up, always!

I could try to install Oracle in the same structure in the SO, and create a bank by pointing the same datafiles for the ancient paths (DBFS) and then lower the instance and copy the old over, as far as I knew it worked ...

At the end you need to re-create the password file,
orapwd in the $ oracle_home / dbs,
good luck,

Diego,
I have the same problem, I have a .dbf file and several other but create the database all in the same old standard and when overlap the tablespace file the bench stops working.
Do you have any other alternative?
How do you re-create the password file?
Att,
Wellington Rogati
