Personnel,
Good afternoon,
I have a Virtual Box with Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.7 installed.
A colleague of mine when trying to edit a file and use shortcut keys, ended up disabling the toolbar and the Oracle Linux icons.
When I connect with another user (eg "root"), the toolbar and icons appear normally. But when you change the logon to the "Oracle" user, only the desktop area is left without anything else.
Is there any way to re-establish this toolbar and desktop icons?
grateful for any tip / information you can pass on.

Brother, I imagine Oracle Linux being a Red Hat derivative Use the GNOME as a graphical interface manager, so I recommend that you open the terminal and connected as root, run the following commands:
step1
or
Step 2
under normal pressure and temperature conditions I believe it solves.
Good luck !!!
step1
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
or
rm -rfv $HOME/.gconf/apps/panel
killall gnome-panel
Good luck !!!

Adriano,
Thanks for the tips, but unfortunately it did not work.
Only the red desktop screen is left without the toolbar or icons.
I am frightened by the facility that this loss occurred. I was editing a file and I tried unfortunately testing some shortcut keys. It was when the menu and icons disappeared.
