I installed Oracle 10g Server on my server and it's working beleza, via browser (apex) I can also access other machines.
Now I did the client version installation on another machine, again confirm that via browser (apex) I can access however via sqlplus I can not.
How to make the client connect with the server?
In it should not there be the TNSNAMES file.
In what folder?
Thanks
Oracle x Client

The file does not always come, but inside the client_1 \ network \ admin \ admin, there is another directory called samples, there you find a tnsnames.ora for example, move it to the previous directory, and then set the parameters from your base inside it .

The folder that needs to be is the one I said,
../ Network / admin /
Look, you can use the graphical tool too to do This ...
is called Net Manager, comes along with the customer, depending on the type of installation you have chosen,
picks up another machine and Play in this directory that is simpler,

In the client I do not have this Admin \ Network folder as in the server.
During client installation I can not configure anything.
I picked up this client directly from the Oracle website (oraclexeclient.exe).
I'm almost delivering the points. As one thing as simple as it can be so "complicated."
Can someone give me a link for me to download another client?
Thanks for the help

http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/oracl ... client.zip
Then when running the installer, install the "Administrator" option, this option behind a toolbar, TNSNAMES, SQLPLUS, etc.

No problem, install 10g, even, there is everything in the same version,
face, there is a scheme called Instant Client, it is simple to set up, just put unzip the directory to a location on the machine, put this Directory in the variable of environment path, and then create a variable environment called tns_admin, pointing to the directory where you go for your tnnames.ora file, which could be even the same director of the instant client,
99] is 48megas, against 500 and both complete client, =]
