Hello, I wonder if the oracle text function \"utl_file\" has character limit because I'm trying to insert into a text file with lines approx. 3,000 characters and I can't because of the mistake and enters my exception with the following sqlerrm-User-Defined Exception. If anyone knows and can help me I will be very grateful.

Can read and write rows up to 32767 characters.
If u give a DESC UTL_FILE, see all the signatures of the FOPEN.
See this:
Code: Select all
FUNCTION FOPEN RETURNS RECORD
Argument Name                  Type                    In/Out Default?
------------------------------ ----------------------- ------ --------
   ID                           BINARY_INTEGER          OUT
   DATATYPE                     BINARY_INTEGER          OUT
LOCATION                       VARCHAR2                IN
FILENAME                       VARCHAR2                IN
OPEN_MODE                      VARCHAR2                IN
MAX_LINESIZE                   BINARY_INTEGER          IN    <--- -taí o parametro!
has a parameter called MAX_LINESIZE. In it, you can put the maximum value of the line. Try putting a high number to see if it works!

Thank you very much. Put a large value in the max_linesize parameter and it worked.
