Oracle has published a statement on Wednesday, 27, who announces the end of the Java plugin.
According to the company, there's no sense in keeping the active feature because many browsers already released that will close the possibility of installing plugins in your tools, while others have ended up with this scenario.
Google, for example, removed the technology the Java plugin in September. Already Microsoft ended support for the resource with the launch of the browser Edge. Mozilla has announced plans to remove the support for plugins like Silverlight and Java in Firefox until the end of the year.
Companies that still rely on the Java plugin can use it even in browsers compatible in the short term. Oracle claims that application developers should consider alternative options, such as migration to Java Web Start technology, the free plugin.
While the plugin started in 90 years as a innocent way of bringing apps features for browsers, in recent years he has been a headache for users and it administrators by their security breaches and malware issues, says The Verge.
Kaspersky has come to publish a survey in 2012 saying that the Java plugin was responsible for half of all cyber attacks that occurred that year.
