Oracle won a legal victory against Google on Friday, 09. The Court of appeals of the United States ruled that Oracle can enforce copyright in the Java programming language, that Google used to design the operating system to Android smartphones, according to Reuters.

The decision reverses the victory that Google had obtained in 2012, the process in which the software maker claimed that the search giant had improperly incorporated parts of the Java programming language.

Oracle argued that when Google was creating Android, he copied more than 37 11 programming interfaces and Java source lines of code-and these are subject to copyright protection, as any other intellectual property.

The company also argued that Google had infringed patents that holds about Java technology, but lost a decision.

In a statement, Google just issued the following statement: " we are disappointed with this decision, which establishes a precedent harmful to computer science and software development, and we are considering our options. " Arik Hesseldahl, Re/site Code, talked with one of Oracle's lawyers, e. Joshua Rosenkranz, who stated that the Java code took years and many millions of dollars to be developed.

" the Court held that nobody in their right mind would make an investment like this if someone could steal the work and use it to compete against the original developer ", he added.

Apple and Samsung have made agreement by the end of the patent fights, which actually only leads to wear and tear of these companies, it's past time for Google to propose an agreement with Oracle and put an end to these fights.

For a while I thought that Oracle was doing wrong by Sue Google over Java.
Like, thought it was not necessary and that it was just a way to earn some $ $ $. (Decision coming of investor)

But, now my opinion changed a bit: Liked that Oracle did it!
Google is the company that most takes advantage of all technologies without paying anything for them. (Virtually all open-source that they modify). And if you're wondering, they do not contribute almost nothing-or nothing-with open-source technologies.

Funny thing is that turn and move the Iron Man makes jokes with this slogan from Google: don't be evil " " and it's not that the guy is right, Oracle spent a lot of money at Sun and want to return and the asset is Java, Google deal to pay royalties to the Oracle.
