Good morning Folks-I want to know about view Materialized

Could someone explain to me what is a materialized view and what is it for? , another question view materialized is the same as snapshot?

View materialized is like a table that is created on the basis of a SQL statement. Is the same as a snapshot.

Serves for cases where it's not worth running a view normal (because of performance, for example), then the data are recorded in a table. The query passes be real quick.

Is used for cases where the data does not change much.
