Hello Ualex, sorry but I don't quite understand your question.
You want the query to return = for syntax errors based on phonetics of words?

tion type paulo and são paulo?

:?: It needs a slightly different treatment, some time ago I developed a package for this kind of situation as well as car errors = expensive, roast = asado, found = axado It needs to work with the Phonetics, there is a function called Soundex that makes something similar but for a limited number of characters in the word nro.

If that is really your question and have interest in the package warns that I put it here in the Forum, it's kind of a big boy but não dá nada!

Yes has the oracle function SOUNDEX, but she is in English.

I found this LINK which has a soundex algorithm: once I met a program that did that in Portuguese. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name. Maybe I'm at home on my bench (I'll search there and answer here if I find). But I think this program no longer exists.

Well, if that's the case I think the phonetic search will help you, because with her a query of \"NG Paulo\" is equal to \"São Paulo\".

The process is a little long, and I recommend reading with calm. I did that a long time ago and never put your hand. I was thinking of creating a C # Library based on my code, but as I'm no Oracle and no time at the moment is hard. I shake with Oracle these days, IE ... I was like 6 months! hehehe Dr. Gori yo! But tamo aí, willing to help and learn as much as possible!

Follow the link to download: ... netica.doc hope it helps [] 's
