In Oracle you refers to database??? (i.e. open a file written to the Oracle server itself) In this case, you can use the UTL_FILE-see link below: viewtopic.php?t=82 But if it's in Oracle FORMS, or in Oracle SQL * Plus, there are other ways ...

Explain where you want to open the people give a hint!

Hello everybody.

I have a question similar to the colleague who opened the topic.

I have a .txt file stored in a directory and the database is written to file name.
Well, the .txt file has some formulas of the equation 3.0 that word within the file itself is encoded Let's say so. I just can't use UTL_FILE I believe command to display the data, because will display a bunch of crazy character.

However, someone would tell me how do I open this file that contains the equations (Equation word 3.0) in the report?

I tried to make a function of type:
Code: Select all
function CF_2Formula return Char is

  In_File    Text_Io.File_Type;
  Out_File   Text_Io.File_Type;
  vLineBuf   Varchar2(80);

Begin
  -------------
  -- Entrada --
  -------------

  If :ARQUIVO <> 0 Then

     If :QUST_QUESTAO Is Not Null Then
       Begin
         In_File := Text_Io.FOpen('\Server_admProvaEletronica'||:QUST_QUESTAO, 'R');
         Loop
           Text_Io.Get_Line(In_file, vLineBuf);
           Text_Io.Put(vLineBuf);
           Text_Io.New_Line;
         End Loop;
       Exception
         When No_Data_Found Then
           Text_Io.FClose(In_file);
       End;
     End If;

  End If;

End;
didn't work anymore.

Pooor ffffaaaavvvooooorrrrrrrrr someone help me: cry:
