:?: Someone knows if it is possible to send a message, from the database, to a particular user (or all) that is connected to the database, using an application developed in Forms 6i?

Okay, there's nothing. But it's pretty easy to you create it by hand.

Just have a table that has the name of the user who is sending the message, the text that he wants to send and another that has the name of every user who he wants to send the text.

From there, you can create a timer in your forms that reads this table from time to time to see if it is something ...

If reached, the guy shows and writes as read ... (or delete, whatever)

That's what you want to do?

Thanks, Dr_Gori.

But, I ended up not formulating my question right. Is the following: the DBA can send a message to a specific user (or all) that is connected on the BD (Oracle 9i)? And if he (user) are using an application on Forms (6i), you could receive this message (type a Window of Alert, on screen)?

There's no way to send messages to users by the Bank.
If you want something, you have to create ...
