I created an instance in Oracle 10g in "in Archivelog".

To put in Archive mode I need to give a "Shutdown Immediate", "Startup Mount", "Alter Database Archivelog";
I executed the shutdown usually without errors, but at the time of startup Oracle returned the following error:

ORA-24324: Handle of services Initialized
ORA-01041: Internal Error: The HOSTDEF extension does not exist
[/i]

Environment information:
* Oracle version: 10g
* Operating system: Windows 2003

gilberto@SUGEP-DMASI:~> oerr ORA 24324
24324, 00000, "service handle not initialized"
// *Cause: An attempt was made to use an improper service context handle.
// *Action: Verify that the service context handle has all the parameters
// initialized prior to this call.
When a Very broad mistake like this, I try to stop all the processes that involves the environment of the Oracle Bank. Then I verify the occurrence of any warning in the alert file. As the bank is inoperative, I suggest you make a clean shutdown, stop the listener, the agent, what you find and that is related to the bank. Then verify the alert file. If you can not find any track, check the setting of the environment before you start the instance again.

In the documentation, I did not find anything relevant! But this tip [url=http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_ora_24324_s ... alized.htm]ORA-24324: service handle not initialized tips reinforces my indications.
