Good evening!

I wanted to take a question as the installation of a new bank version on a server that already has an instance turning. The installation will be made in the Silent mode using ResponseFile Configuring Different Oracle Home and Oradata. I wanted to know if this can influence the instance that is already working.

Brother Are you thinking of upgrading?
If this is the case and has one or more instances will have to disable Oracle_Home and TNS_Admin, remembering that upgrade will update the entire bank schema.
I recommend creating a test environment to make the analyzes and then rise for production.

In fact I have version 11.2.0.1 installed, I do not want to upgrade, I want to install version 11.2.0.2 and then lower the other.

Exactly, the patchesets of 11.2.0.2 on are practically complete installations, in earlier versions the patchinsets updated the Oracle_Home files.

Before applying the patchset, did you get to overthrow the instance? Created a new type 11.2.0.2 folder so that the upgrade is done in this folder?
These errors:

ORA-39700: database must be opened with UPGRADE option e ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
emerges that this should be done.
Oracle recommends before applying any patchset:
- Identify where Oracle is installed;
- Back up;
- overthrow the instance;
- Kill all Oracle processes

Anyway, after installing this patch and a different home Oracle I could create a new instance and make a backup restore or could just set this new Oracle home as the instance that is already running in my server. right?

The two possibilities can be made yes, but depends:
Next The purpose of applying the patchset is to correct bugs from the previous version and be able to use the same instance that I realized is used in production.
According to you how many instances you want, but be careful this will generate I / O and may affect your production bank performance, then you can analyze the availability of hardware resources to support one or more instances.
Suggestion: Before applying any patchset in production environment, set up a test environment first, make all possible tests, according to such a type-approval environment and test all processes and finally send for production.

As promised earlier: I tested the bank installation only by the patchset and it worked normally as a complete installation.
An alternative than having the job of installing 11.2.0.1 and then have to apply the patchSets.
