Oracle e-Business Suite
Ola Lucas,
I will put a text that explains a bit of the EBS.
Oracle E-Business Suite, also known as Oracle Applications or Oracle Financials, has approximately 25,100 tables and 33,000 views in your database. One of the main challenges to reporting developers accessing this Oracle EBS information is to determine the correct location of the data in this set so large set of available objects. In this article we will discuss how Oracle organized the Oracle EBS database to make developers easier.
Each Oracle EBS product or module has its own database scheme, in which your objects are located. For example, the Bill of Materials) has a database schedule with your 'good' code. Each of the Oracle e-Business Suite modules has a unique identifier code that is used to name their respective database schemas. There is a main scheme, called Apps, with a user also called Apps that has privileges to access other schemas objects.
The apps has all database code objects such as procedures (procedures), triggers, functions (functions), packages, visions (views) and visions Materialized View), as well as the right of access to tables, indexes, sequences (sequences) and restrictions (constrains) of other schemes belonging to other products. The apps apps increases the reliability and reduces the time required for the initial installation, installation of new versions and installation of fixes (patches), as it eliminates the need to control access rights between products.
To produce reports, developers must connect to the database using the user apps in the test base, as this user has access permission to all objects that are part of Oracle EBS. In addition, Oracle facilitated the search for the objects desired by the developer, as it adopted a standard for nomenclature of database objects. All object names start with the abbreviation of the product. For example, the purchasing module (Purchasing) has the acronym 'PO' and all objects in this module begin with 'PO_'.
Find the desired data in more than 50,000 objects is not an easy task so, knowing the standards of object naming and how they are stored, facilitates the work of developers. Oracle provides its customers and partners an electronic technical reference manual (ETRM - Electronic Technical Reference Manual) that has information about all Objects and Schemes of Oracle E-Business Suite. It can be accessed online at http://etrm.oracle.com address provides good support for locating the desired information. To access this manual is first necessary that the user has metalink access permission http://metalink.oracle.com). These are small tips on how your company can locate specific information for the development of Oracle E-Business Suite customizations.
If you have any questions about Oracle Ebs Post aí came, because this were and the best.

Taking advantage of the leaves ... Can you tell where to get some documentation material from the EBS modules ?? I think I'll work with it in the future, so I wanted to be prepared to be able to work with all the modules.
