I need to install Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1.0) on a Windows XP (Professional) machine that will be a station, but is giving error (error loading areasqueries).
Someone knows what I should do.

Thank you in advance

If the directory where the installation files have spaces, try to get them out. (Oracle does not support long names ...)

Example:

Select all

C:\Document and Settings\Disk1
has blank spaces.

Select all

C:\Disk1

Validate!

Is this?

There's a thread here on the subject. http://www.dbaclick.com/forums/archive/8/1830.html
It seems that the CD-Burner modified the directories tree ... It suggests putting points between the version number and change a file called oraparam.ini

Example:

Select all

...stage\queries\areasqueries\20140
To:

Select all

...stage\queries\areasqueries\2.0.1.4.0
If not that, mystery !!! Maybe some other user solves!

I work in a supermerged network .. I had this problem in many machines .. I changed the setup to the root and normally installed.
So the size of the directory is that this problem causes this problem ...

Thanks for the tip: -O
