It depends a lot on or you will want to use it ..

RAM; 1GB
HD: 40

is already beleza for tests.

Note: With this configuration until the 10g wheel. So you have that by XP or a ME.

has how to decrease some parameters, type java_pool_size, which is probably not used. And others ...

I already rode Oracle on a machine that the instance occupied only a 100mb ... (Oracle 8i)

I took a look at Oracle's documents. see below.
Operating System and Service Pack requirements
The Oracle9i Client Top-Level Component IS Supported on Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Professional. Windows NT Requires Service Pack 5 and Windows 2000 Requires Service Pack 1.

Processor Requirements
The Following Processor Requirements Apply For Each Oracle9i Client Installation Type:

Minimal Processor: Pentium 166 or Pentium 200

Recommended Processor: Pentium 266

Hardware requirements
The Oracle9i Client Top-Level Component requires the Minimum of 128 MB of Ram, Although 256 MB of Ram is recommended.

Space requirements
1.5 GB


Web browser requirements [/ B ]
The Following Web Browsers Are Supported For Browser-Based Oracle Enterprise Manager Console, Central Enterprise Manager Repository Web Site, and IsQL * Plus:

Netscape Navigator 4.76 or Higher

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or Higher

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (Required with Windows XP)

It can be on any Windows.
Accessing the bank can be via SQLPlus.

ORACLE 9I 9i works well with 500MB of RAM and Win98, but if it were you placed a Windows 2000 server at least, it will catch less and have a better income.
If you have a pentium 266 with 256 and Windows 98 will also work ..... but already prepares for walking wagon.
