Environment information:
* Oracle version: 11g
* Operating system: Windows XP

Good morning everyone, I'm starting to mess with Oracle and I'm with All doubts and some more. I'm trying to change the NLS_CHARACTERSET but it's difficult! I followed some tips, but it looks like they only work in 10G and previous due to such a superset that I have to change first. Could someone help me ?? Thank you in advance and thank you.

This sentence:
You cannot define the database Character set in the init.ora.

The Database (National) Character Set NLS_ (NCHAR) _Characterset) is defined by the "Create database" Command.

* The NLS_CharacterSet and NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET Parameters CanNot Be Overridden by instance or session parameters.

These are defined by The Value Specified in the "Create Database Command and Are Not Intended to Be Changed Afterwards Dynamically. From Not Update System Tables to Change The Character Set. This Can Corrupt Your Database and Potentially Make it impossible to open the database again.

Found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/g ... %20faq.htm

shows the importance of this parameter for the bank Data.
I have already seen some articles on the internet speaking how to change this parameter, but in limited cases.
The truth is that before the creation of a database must be taken Characters will be / can be stored and from there to choose a suitable character set.
