Greetings to all ...
I would like to know if someone here from the forum has already managed to install Oracle 11g in Windows Vista 64 bits. I will study this version of Oracle and decided to install on my home's PC, but errors occurred in the installation, I could not access the manager (I could not identify the port used) and I also could not connect with access tools to the bank (SQL Developer).
Does anyone have any tips from where I should look for information to complete this installation ??

Thanks.

Dear friend,

I did the installation normally in my Windows 64bits Ultimate, only at the beginning there was a restriction because it was necessary to create a loopback network because Oracle 11G does not support DHCP.

I used the 11G installer itself.

Marigelson,

Sorry, but you did not report whether Oracle 11G software (11.1.0.6) is 32 bits or 64?!?

Check the installer readme.

At what time in installation does the error? If you can pass the error message I can try to help you, Senao is complicated.

As for that does not support the DHCP, it is normal because it already presented in other versions in the 10G I usually treat this problem with variable emhostname, so referencing the name of the machine and having no problems in the Listener, DB Control etc ...

OOOPS, excuse me for the installation was in the Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0 - 64bit Product
With the partitioning, OLAP, DATA MINING AND REAL APPLICATION TESTING OPTIONS.

The message was initially that it does not support network connection with using DHCP, in this case I created a new loopback connection.

Att.
