Speaks galera,
I'm starting to venture into Oracle now and for what I need to do, only Oracle 8 serves.
I installed quietly and when I went to run SQLPlus Oracle could not find the library libclntsh.so.8.0 .
Have you ever had this problem ??
From now on, thank you!

libclntsh.so.8.0 was not found - RedHat9
This I do not know: Shock:
No error occurred during installation? What is the release of the bank?
What option did you install Personal, Standard or Enterprise?
Why this aê I never saw, honestly, risking a guess I think it's a problem with the installation

As our colleague Multani said, we need to know the version of everything! Linux, Oracle, etc!
I was looking for this error and I found this thread of a guy with the same problem: http://ccm.redhat.com/bboard-archive/webdb/0006TW.html
They say to upgrade from version 8.1.5.0.0 8.1.5.0.2 Through a patch

First, thanks for the help.
Well, the Oracle version is: 8.1.7;
of RedHat is: 9;
I have not used any updates.
I just picked up RedHat 9 and Oracle 8.1.7 (from the Oracle site) and installed.
At the end of Oracle installation, they gave several errors related to files with the .mk extension. I ignored the mistakes and continued the installation without problem.
When I try to start SQLPlus gives the error of libclntsh.so.8.0. I can not find this file anywhere from Linux.
