Good afternoon guys,

I'm trying to set Oracle in Ubuntu and it introduces me to the following error:

Select all

Starting Oracle Net Listener...Done
Configuring database...
Database Configuration failed. Look into /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/config/log for details
I imagine which should be any port configuration

Hello Lorran,

bem-vindo to the Glufke Forum!

Then you should be able to query the log in "/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/config/log", as the error message instructs you.

You will probably come across any specific error message, which will allow you more focused searches, or will allow the person to help you with more efficiently.

well .. You could consult this link, where a forista describes an installation error in Ubuntu:
http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/topico/Ora ... buntu-1204

This link highlights two other links, which may help you solve your problem:
http://ubuntuserverguide.com/2012/06/ho ... 12-04.html http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27300_01/E27 ... oting.html

in the first link mentioned above, the moderator alert That Ubuntu libraries may be missing to allow the correct installation of Oracle.

I recommend that instead of following exactly what this linked link proposes, that you first open the file mentioned in your error message and check exactly the error that must be registered there.

This will avoid that you waste time following instructions that can not even be related to your error.

Please, if you have more details of your error and still can not solve the same, post these details here in Glufke so that forists are able to help you.

A big hug!

Hello,

I think the error message "ORA-00845: MEMORY_TARGET" can give you a clue about the problem that is occurring in your installation.

Take a look at this forum link: "https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread ... ID=2376116". The topic you will see that there may be more than one reason for the occurrence of this error.

For example: Did you correctly set the Oracle_SID and Oracle_Home variables? And the directories you reported in the assembly of your installation are ok?

The forista also shows a link where he describes the Installation steps: http://www.makina-corpus.org/blog/howto ... lin-64bits
With this link, you have two Oracle installation procedures in Ubuntu (I passed a link in the previous answer). If the forum link does not resolve, see these Two scripts already passed to you. Check if there is any additional step that does not exist in the script you are following.

Hugs and good luck,
