Good afternoon guys I'm new to the piece if someone can help me thank you from now on.

I am in trouble because the PWDSID was replaced.ora from a server on the other if the database was mirontado to the server.
How do I recreate a PWDSID.ORA

Version 9.2.0.4
Windows 2003

This is the utility that you will need:

Select all

orapwd file=filename password=password entries=max_users
Oracle documentation is also very good!

Step by step if it occurs with someone has been tested and it worked.

1 - Stop the services of Oracle
- OracleSlistener
- OracleServicesid

2 - Go to C:\ORACLE\Database\ and rename the pwdrena file.ora to pwdrena_old.ora

3 - via MS-DOS IR in the directory
- prompt

Select all

>cd c:\oracle\bin
c:\oracle\bin> ORAPWD FILE=C:\ORACLE\database\pwdsid.ora PASSWORD=SYS_CATRENA
] 4 - Start Oracle and test services.

5 - Enter SQLPlus and enter the System password.
